John Henry Spavold passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories, laughter, and unwavering devotion to those he loved most.
John was the beloved husband of May Spavold for 52 wonderful years. Together they built a life centered around family, friendship, and countless adventures. He was a proud and loving father to John (Susie), Nathan (Patty), Gary (Natasha), and Lucky.
He was a deeply devoted grandfather to Emma, Abby, Dawsyn, Cheyenne, Emma D., Cody, Cameron, Jailyn, Johnny, and Thomas. His grandchildren were the pride and joy of his life, and he treasured every moment spent with them.
John is also survived by his sister Barbara; brothers-in-law Fred (Kathy), Paul, and Chris; sister-in-law Phyllis (Tom); as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss him greatly.
He was predeceased by his loving parents, Susie and Henry Spavold; sisters Betty, Berma-Lee, Bina, and Beryl; brother Clayton; and mother-in-law Audrey.
John spent many dedicated years working as a mechanic at the school bus garage until his retirement. He took great pride in his work and was respected by all who knew him. Outside of work, John truly embraced life. He loved fishing, hunting, four-wheeling, bird watching, and spending treasured time at the family camp in Hoyt. Some of his happiest days were spent at the mall with Audrey, granddaughters Emma and Abby, and nephew Owen and Monday dinners with granddaughters Emma D and Cheyenne
John also loved travelling with May and spending time with family whenever he could. He will always be remembered for his kindness, quiet strength, sense of humor, and the deep love he carried for his family.
Though he will be greatly missed, the memories John created and the love he shared will remain in the hearts of all who knew him forever
