It is with heavy hearts that the family of Shirley Marie Freake announce her passing, which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on May 15, 2026. Born on January 24, 1957, she will always be loved and forever in our hearts.
Shirley was predeceased by her loving husband, Anthony Freake and her parents, Arsene and Gilberte LeBlanc. She leaves behind her children, Danny Bourgeois (Anne), Dennis Bourgeois (Christina) and Ashley Freake (Christian); her three sisters, Joanne Legere, Brenda Surette and Gisele LeBlanc; as well as her beloved grandchildren and many other extended family members and friends.
She was a loving and devoted mother who treasured her children and grandchildren above all else. Her love, warmth and unforgettable spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who loved her.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424). A private service will take place at a later date.
