Krista’s looking for interesting people and interesting things happening here in Saint John and surrounding area and today, she chatted with Munira from Henna Station.
Munira said she was excited to talk to us and Krista was just as excited to hear about what Munira offers with the Henna Station and how you she started with this.
Munira explained to Krista that she isthe artist behind Henna Station by Munira. She offers organic henna tattoos for festivals, birthday parties, weddings, local markets and community events. She also hosts mandala paint parties and creative workshops for both kids and adults.
Munira discovered her artistic side after moving to Canada. What started as a small hobby for her, slowly grew into a business through local events and community support. Now she gets to share creativity, culture and her art with people all around Saint John and Rothesay, which (Munira says!) feels amazing.
Munira is originally from Pakistan and has lived in Saint John for the past our years.
Krista asked Munira about some of the events she has coming up, where they are and how people can find out more. Munira has some really exciting and creative events coming up! She is hosting a kid’s paint party on June 6th. Her Mirror Mandala Paint Night is on June 12th at Baratie Restaurant by the Reversing Falls with a beautiful view. Munira says she is so excited to paint this together! She will also be doing henna at the Queen Square Farmer’s Market and various community events as well as some of the summer festivals around Saint John through the season. There will be lots of opportunities for people to stop by, experience henna or the mandala art.
