This year, Krista has been delighted to see amazing photos of Saint John popping up in her feed. Earlier in 2026, she reached out to Andrew Miller to compliment him on his extraordinary photos and ask permission to share some of them here on the community portal.
Not only are Andrew’s pictures breathtaking, so are the descriptions that he posts with them. Proud to be a lifelong advocate of Saint John, it’s easy to see this reflected in what he shares – visually and verbally.
From May 28, 2026:
There’s something about twilight that always feels honest to me.
The day isn’t rushing anymore. The noise settles. The water slows. Even the sky seems to take a breath before night arrives.
I think we spend so much of life believing we always have to be in full sunlight pushing, proving, grinding, fighting the next battle. But twilight reminds me there’s beauty in transition too. Not every moment has to be loud to matter.
Some days don’t end perfectly. Some seasons of life don’t either. But there’s hope in knowing the sun still leaves us with colour before it goes. A reminder that endings can still be beautiful, and tomorrow is already on its way.
Standing there that night, watching the ripples move across the water and the light stretch across the sky, I couldn’t help but feel grateful. For second chances. For quiet moments. For the people we miss. For the people still beside us. For the simple fact that after every dark night, morning eventually finds us again.
Twilight doesn’t feel like the end to me anymore. It feels like peace between chapters
