During the month of March, the MFIC Foundation hosted the First Annual MFIC Celebration of Life and Silent Auction in support of the Oncology Department and Palliative Care unit.
Ethan Creamer had an ambitious vision of reaching $5000 in their first year of the event, but little did he know the final total of their two-week fundraiser would be $17,070!
Led by the Creamer family, this two-week fundraiser included boxing classes, t-shirt sales, a silent auction, 50/50 draws, and a liquor basket raffle, with all proceeds going toward supporting patients and families at the Oncology Department and Palliative Care unit.
The inspiration behind this event was Joanna Creamer, whose strength and generosity touched so many lives. Even while going through treatment, Joanna continued fundraising for the Oncology unit by selling t-shirts and supporting a cause that meant so much to her and her family. Ethan wanted to carry on her legacy, and this event became a powerful reflection of the impact she continues to have on those around her.
This event meant the world to the Creamer family, the overall impact from the community showed the immense support they have.
