Accused Convenience Store Robber Back in Court

A man looking at charges in two armed robberies at convenience stores last month was back in court.

26 year old Kyle Maguire has been charged in the February 14th robbery at Korner Grocery on Princess Street.

Police told CHSJ News that he will also be charged in another convenience store robbery just a couple of days earlier.

Wearing grey prison-issue sweats, Maguire stood in the prisoner’s box and glanced and waved at two women sitting in the front row of the gallery.

One of the women became quite emotional and left the courtroom in tears after Maguire left the prisoner’s box.

Maguire now has a lawyer who asked for more time to review the case and Judge Kelly Winchester granted that request.

He is due back in court on March 15th at 130pm.
