Police say a 71-year-old woman has died after a fire at a seniors complex in Coles Island.
The blaze broke out at the Grand Washademoak Lions Seniors Complex on Route 715 around 5 a.m. today.
The woman, who was a resident of the six-unit building, was found dead at the scene.
Five other residents made it out of the building and are receiving help from the Canadian Red Cross.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, but police don’t believe it’s suspicious.
