Saint John Flames Signing , HUGHIE McHUGH!
The Saint John Flames are proud to announce the signing of Hughie McHugh for the 2026/27 season!
Hughie’s hockey journey has taken him through prep school in Grades 11 & 12, two seasons of Junior A hockey in Ottawa, and three seasons with the River Valley Senior A Rock.
But over the last few months, Hughie’s biggest accomplishments have come away from the rink.
Today, Hughie is 115 days sober, and we couldn’t be prouder of the work, commitment, and strength he has shown to get to this point. Having Hughie busy, around the rink, and part of this team means a lot to our organization.
Hockey is about more than what happens on the ice. It’s about the people, the relationships, the battles, and the moments that shape us.
115 days. One day at a time. Keep going, Hughie.
Welcome to the Flames, #16.
