December 1, 1949 ~ September 29, 2026 (age 76)
With her loving son by her side, Gail Anne Marr passed on September 29, 2026. Born on December 1, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Jennie L. Hartley and the late Wendell C. Marr.
Small but mighty, Gail raised her 3 children as a single mom. She babysat many neighbourhood kids and happily cared for her 3 grandchildren when they were young. She loved her God and enjoyed going to church with Gary. The radio was always on in Gail’s kitchen. She loved her old country music and her late night Bonanza show. Above all Gail loved her family and friends.
She will be missed by her children Brian Marr (Michelle Durelle), Wendy Marr (Shawn Votour) and Gary Marr. She had 3 beautiful granddaughters who were the light of her world – Justine Marr, Breanna Marr and Erika Marr and 3 great-grandchildren Kaylee, Asher and Elijah, step-granddaughter Jenna Durelle. She leaves behind to mourn her 8 siblings Marie Jones, Edie Lepage (Rick), Mary Marr, Alice Roshinsky (Keith), Jack (Anne), Robert, Larry and Tony (Marlene) and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Gail was predeceased by her brothers Ronald and Gary (in infancy) and a sister Gloria (in infancy).
The family wish to thank the wonderful staff at St Joes and the St John St Stephen Nursing home for the excellent care of their mother over the past several years.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until the Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 p.m. in our chapel.
