A Welsford Woman Thought The Earthquake Was Her Deck Collapsing

A woman who lives in Welsford wasn’t exactly sure what the noise was when an earthquake struck last night just after 7pm.

Amy Nelson lives on the Eagle Rock Road and at first she thought the deck was collapsing off her house because of heavy snow.

She describes the noise as a loud boom and it didn’t last long.

She says her pets did not react. When she realized the deck was still attached, she thought it was soldiers at CFB Gagetown holding an exercise.

Eventually she learned it was an earthquake after scrolling through Facebook.
