This year, Krista has been delighted to see amazing photos of Saint John popping up in her feed. Earlier in 2026, she reached out to Andrew Miller to compliment him on his extraordinary photos and ask permission to share some of them here on the community portal.
Not only are Andrew’s pictures breathtaking, so are the descriptions that he posts with them. Proud to be a lifelong advocate of Saint John, it’s easy to see this reflected in what he shares – visually and verbally.
From October 18, 2026:
Sometimes, life gives you a moment that looks too beautiful to be real. ![]()
I captured this sunset as the golden light settled over the treeline and spilled across the water. The clouds, the reflections, the stillness for a moment, everything seemed to come together perfectly.
I showed a friend later who asked me if the photo was AI.
It made me smile a little, because it reminded me of something I’ve been thinking about lately. We live in a world where it’s becoming harder to tell what’s real and what’s manufactured. But some of the most incredible things we’ll ever experience don’t need to be created, edited, or imagined. They’re already out there, waiting for us to notice them.
Life can be messy. Plans change, responsibilities pile up, and sometimes we get so caught up in everything we need to do that we forget to look around.
But there’s beauty in the ordinary moments, too. A quiet evening. A conversation that stays with you. A challenge that teaches you something about yourself. A sunset that makes you stop whatever you’re doing just to take it all in.
Maybe we don’t need to make life look perfect. Maybe we just need to make a little more time to actually live it.
Get outside. Take the road you’ve never travelled. Challenge yourself. Spend time with people who matter. And every once in a while, put everything else aside and appreciate the moment you’re standing in.
Because the best things in life aren’t always the ones we create. Sometimes, they’re the ones we’re lucky enough to witness. ![]()
