This is a one-day drop-off event for the 11th Annual Purse Project, which collects donated purses and handbags filled with essential items for women in need. Fill a gently used purse with personal care products, warm clothing, gift cards and other necessities before dropping them off for distribution.
Start with a gently use Purse/Handbag you may have in our closet, or have fun thrifting.
Fill the purses with daily necessitie. Here are suggestions … but be creative too!

• Socks — Toques — Mittens – Gloves — Scarves
• Underwear
• Small flashlight
• Travel coffee mugs
• Notebooks — Pens — Pencils
• Face Masks
• $5 or 10 Gift Cards (Tim Horton’s, Subway, etc.)
• Children’s Purses (With or Without Items for Children)

No worries, if you are unable to fill a purse. They greatly appreciate donations of empty purses or just contents to put in purses.
This community service initiative was started in 2016 by Canadian Progress Club Ignite @canadianprogressclubignite and continues even though the club closed May 2024
