Fourth Nor’easter Hits Our Region

The first and hopefully last spring snow storm of the year has come and gone, and although there was not a large amount of snow it was a nasty system.

The Saint John area got 9.6 cm of snow and 9.3 mm of other precipitation, but the winds at times reached over 70 kilometres per hour causing blowing snow conditions and extremely slippery roads.

In fact at one time there was a do not travel advisory issued from St. Stephen to Moncton.

In Saint John and the KV only a few minor fender benders occurred and although the main roads are bare this morning watch out for very slippery sections on side streets.

Moncton was the hardest hit area with just under 30 cm of snow and 23 mm of other precipitation.
