Busy Night For Saint John Police

Saint John Police have arrested a 55 year old man after reports of a nurse being assaulted at the Saint John Regional Hospital Tuesday evening.

Upon arriving on the scene police were told a man had struck a nurse and was swearing at staff.

As a result police say a very intoxicated 55 year old man was arrested for assault causing bodily harm and causing a disturbance.

Police also arrested a man last night for carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a prohibited weapon.

They were doing patrols in the Uptown and spotted a man asleep on the floor of a vestibule on King Street.

When they woke him up, he took off and tripped and fell on his face on the sidewalk.

After police checked the man they found he had pepper spray on him.

He will make a court appearance at a future date.
