Driving in Saint John right now can be rough on your vehicle with a lot of craters for your vehicle to find its way into.
1600 potholes in Saint John have been filled since January and once the hot asphalt plants open in May, the City’s annual pothole repair blitz will continue all month long.

Jeff Hussey from Transportation and Environment Services says the intent of the blitz is to have crews address as many potholes as possible based on size and location.
Hussey adds on dry, clear days as many as four crews have been working on repairing potholes this year.
An average of 3200 potholes are repaired every year with the City spending $750,000 on road repairs a year and over $4 million on paving.
