More Light Shed On Jeremiah’s Deli Licence Revocation

More light has been shed on the reasons behind longtime fixture of the Saint John City Market Jeremiah’s Deli getting its license revoked.

On a provincial Food Premises Inspection Form from the Department of Health dated Thursday, April 19 it states that a re-inspection on Monday of this week found that rodent droppings were still present in various locations of the kitchen.

It goes on to say because of non-compliance with a critical violation the Medical Officer of Health decided to issue a temporary suspension of the licence order from 2 pm that day until the time the violation was fixed and a re-inspection was done.

It then says that because of non-compliance with this, the license was revoked at 4 pm on Monday.

CHSJ News has again reached out to the owner of Jeremiah’s for comment.
