Water Levels Along St. John River Dropping

The clouds have started to break on this historic flooding event in southern New Brunswick and a sliver of sunshine is peeking through.

The latest five-day forecast for the St. John River shows that while water levels are still high — above flood stage — they are now receding.

In The Quispamsis-Saint John area we’re now sitting at 5.64 metres, tomorrow it will drop to 5.4, then 5.2 the next day. By Sunday it is predicted that we’ll be below flood stage.

Flood stage for our section of the river is 4.2 metres.
