A 35-year-old man is facing charges after a daylight break and enter at a home in Quispamsis on Tuesday.
Kennebecasis Regional Police were asked to respond to a home on the Meenan’s Cove Road around 12 p.m. after a homeowner saw a man with a gun trying to break into a home.
The man took off in a vehicle and police pursued him. He abandoned the vehicle on a dirt road, fled on foot but was found nearby and arrested.
Police are looking to identify drivers who were impacted by the man’s driving just after noon on the Hampton Road, Model Farm Road and Meenan’s Cove Road and those who were being asked to call 847-6300.
Steven John Cyr appeared in provincial court in Saint John on charges including break and enter into a residence, possession of an imitation weapon for the purpose of committing an offense and failing to stop and evading police.
He has been remanded and will be back in provincial court on May 31.
