Number Of NBers Registered With Red Cross Rises To Over 2000

The number of New Brunswickers who’ve registered with the Canadian Red Cross due to the historic flooding continues to rise.

The number is now over 2093 from 925 households and registration is still available.

Provincial director Bill Lawlor tells CHSJ News they continue to work with those that are displaced that they know of.

“We have 193 individuals that are still in emergency accommodations,” says Lawlor when we spoke with him on Wednesday afternoon. “We’re working with them every day to determine is it their house or their apartment…that is not accessible yet or what are the circumstances.”

Lawlor says they’ll continue to support communities and the provincial government until the need is no longer there.
