Hearts break as the Jets Lose But the Titan Win

There is heartbreak in Winnipeg and all over Canada as the Jets season came to an end yesterday.

The Vegas Golden Knights defeated the Jets 2-1 to win the series and advance to the Stanley Cup final.

Former Sea Dogs coach and current Vegas bench boss Gerard Gallant is part of the Knights storybook inaugural season.

At the Memorial Cup, the Acadia-Bathurst Titan beat the Regina Pats 8-6.

Summerside, PEI’s Noah Dobson had two goals and two assists including an empty-netter in the last seconds of the game.

The Titan faces Hamilton next on Tuesday night.

In the Majors, the Jays lost 9-2 to Oakland with Kendrys Morales pitching late in the game and leaving to a standing ovation.

Elsewhere, the Red Sox shut out Baltimore 5-0, the Yankees beat the Royals 10-1.
