Saint John fire crews responded to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 1 near Spruce Lake on Sunday. One person was slightly hurt.
Around 5:45 pm yesterday afternoon, Platoon Chief Barry Oickle tells us crews were called to a fire at 1370 Westfield road.
“First arriving engine company from Manchester Avenue fire station reported heavy smoke coming from a single storey garage that was not attached to the house,” Oickle said.
The fire was located in the garage and put out. Oickle says firefighters were at the scene for about 45 minutes.
