Second time’s a charm for a proposed development on the old Petro-Canada site at Bayside Drive and Mount Pleasant Avenue East.
Plans for a Petro-Canada gas station, a convenience store, a car wash and an A&W restaurant were first brought before council in March.
But council hit reset on the application process after inconsistencies were found in the public notice advertising materials.
A local resident has also raised concerns about traffic safety and late-night noise coming from the proposed drive-thru.
The proponent has agreed to mitigate potential noise by adding trees, shrubs or a fence, but city staff did not recommend restricting hours of operation.
