If you thought it was warm on Tuesday in Saint John, well you were right.
In fact, according to Environment Canada, we set a temperature record for May 29.
Meteorologist Andy Firth says the mercury hit 26.1 degrees and that broke the old record of 24.5 degrees back in 2006.
“We had a lower pressure system pass by to the east and that set up a northwesterly flow so it kept the wind off the water,” says Firth.
The only other area in the province to set a temperature record was Grand Manan Island where it hit 25.4 degrees compared to the old record of 24.5
