Labour Minister Pleased With CP Rail Deal

Federal Labour Minister Patty Hajdu calls a tentative agreement for CP Rail workers a difficult negotiation.

Hajdu adds she’s pleased the parties stuck with it.

“They committed to staying at the table and working together to getting a deal. We’re very pleased that they did that. It demonstrates the Liberal Government’s belief that it’s best when parties work out collective agreements together without interference from the government.”

Workers were back on the job this morning and still need to ratify the new four year deal. (File photo)
