It was a big night for the West Side Food Bank as it was chosen for a donation by The Greater Saint John chapter of 100 Women Who Care.
The West Side Food Bank was one of three charities on hand to make their pitch to the members and after being chosen, received a cheque for $23,000.
Each quarter the 100 women gather, listen to a pitch and then donate $100 per member at the meeting and give to the winning charity.
Last night was the 21st meeting for the group, which has now given out just under $503,000.
They meet next on September 4th.
