The PC candidate for the riding of Portland-Simonds will again be Trevor Holder.
The MLA won his nomination Wednesday evening after being uncontested.
Holder tells CHSJ News it was a big turnout with close to 200 people and they all had one major concern.
“Issues like poverty reduction remain in the forefront but we need prosperity, we need to have the revenue in order to deal with these issues,” says Holder.
“We can longer afford to squander economic development opportunities of a generation whether it’s natural gas or the pipeline.”
