A Saint Johner will be competing over the next couple of days at the Canadian Track and Field Championships in Ottawa.
Ryan Evans is a member of the Saint John Track club and he’s taking part in the Pan Am Combined Events cup.
It features eight Canadians competing in both the heptathlon and decathlon.
Evans is a student at Western University in London, Ontario where he made huge improvements in the decathlon in his first year.
He is currently ranked 1st in the country for the under 20 decathlon.
