Man, Woman Facing Attempted Murder Charge After Mecklenburg Street Stabbing

A man and woman are each facing a charge of attempted murder after a stabbing on Mecklenburg Street this week which is being investigated by Major Crime.

The Saint John police got a call just before midnight on Tuesday about the stabbing and found a 41-year-old man with a stab wound to his neck. He was taken by ambulance to the Regional Hospital in serious condition.

A 26-year-old woman was arrested and she appeared in court Wednesday and was charged with attempted murder.

A 40-year-old man who was arrested will be appearing in court today to answer to the same charge.
