It’s been a busy week for City police with two dramatic chases on the East side.
Officers responded to a call just before 8 pm last night that first came in as a possible impaired driver near the Red Head road and Bayside Drive.
The vehicle was pursued across the Causeway and back out east onto Mount Pleasant Avenue East and it came to stop on Beacon Street when the vehicle failed to negotiate the turn.
No one was hurt and no police vehicles were damaged.
A 23-year-old man is looking at charges of dangerous driving and failing to stop for police.
He has appeared in court and is being held in custody.
