Saint John is now the 10th Foreign Trade Zone point in Canada.
Enterprise Saint John is the designated point of access to information and facilitation services as it relates to Government of Canada FTZ policies and programs.

Jim Quinn is the President and CEO of Port Saint John and he tells us it’s a bit complex so it should be marketed so its easily understandable.
“Some of the companies who are currently here may be able to take advantage of the programs that are being offered by the federal program but also the entrepeneurs who we try to attract to our region, it gives them something more to hold onto in terms of considering this region as a place to set up businesses.” Quinn says.

Saint John Rothesay MP Wayne Long made the annoucement at the Diamond Jubilee cruise ship terminal and he also revealed $75,000 in funding through ACOA to help market the FTZ concept.
