Friday was a busy day for emergency crews in Saint John.
Platoon chief Todd Walsh told our newsroom they got a call about a possible structure fire in the north end late in the afternoon.
“Turned out that the house was filled with smoke due to neglectful cooking,” said Walsh.
First responders were also called to three collisions, including a two-vehicle crash on Lansdowne Avenue, resulting in minor injuries.
There was also a collision in front of the Reversing Falls Restaurant but no one was hurt.
“The third one was a motorcycle at the intersection of Rothesay Avenue and Rothesay Road had slid off the road,” said Walsh.
Both the driver and the passenger received minor injuries, he said, but they were not taken to hospital.
