A masterful job of telling it like it is.
That’s how Port Saint John CEO Jim Quinn characterizes mayor Don Darling’s first state of the city address, a speech in which he did not sugarcoat the problems we’re facing as a city, while also highlighting our bright spots and opportunities.
“This generation has a responsibility to take accountability for setting the road straight for those who follow us, that’s our job and certainly at the Port that’s our philosophy we’ve gotta do the right things, the mayor is setting that same pace at the city,” Quinn tells CHSJ News.
“I’m a product of the civil service, 32 years in the federal government and you simply cannot create issues today for tomorrow.”
In Darling’s speech he said that his family is considering living uptown and Quinn shares with us that’s making that move to the uptown.
