New Brunswick Sending Firefighters To British Columbia

Help is coming to British Columbia from New Brunswick, which is sending a group of firefighters to help battle the wildfires in the province.

There are over 200 wildfires in British Columbia and thousands have been forced from their homes.

The provincial department of Energy and Resource Development is sending out a 22-person crew to Kamloops to help relieve crews that have been fighting the fires.

Last year, the province sent out 77 firefighters last year to provide help in Alberta and Nova Scotia.
