Budding Artists Have Their Designs Featured on Two Christmas Cards

The winning designs of two students in Anglophone South School District could be showing up with the other Christmas cards at your home or office.

Grade 6 student Mahala Haughn of Sir James Dunn Academy in Saint Andrew’s had the winning submission for Anglophone South.

Superintendent Zoe Watson tells us they get many submissions and they have their Fine Arts co-ordinator narrow down the pile.

Watson says the staff at the district office chooses the card they wish to use. They vote on the top 4 designs at their annual Christmas breakfast.

Jessica Travis is a grade 8 student at Princess Elizabeth school. Her design was chosen by the Provincial Child and Youth advocate Norm Bosse for his annual Christmas card.
