As a winter storm brings rain, snow and high winds to the province, NB Power is reporting that as of around noonhour over 15,000 homes and businesses in New Brunswick are without power.
Over 2700 of those customers are in the Charlotte Southwest region, while over 4600 are in York Sunbury and over 600 are in the Kennebecasis Valley Fundy area. The power company says that it is focusing restoration efforts on larger areas, high priority customers and safety issues.

In uptown Saint John, high wind gusts have bent over power poles, downed signs, damaged buildings including the Union Club, and more.
The Weather Network reported earlier today that winds in the morning were gusting as high as 80 kilometres an hour in Saint John and the winds are forecasted to remain strong for the rest of the day and not become light until early tomorrow.
Bay Ferries has cancelled the sailings of the Fundy Rose between Saint John and Digby as well as the 8am sailing from Saint John tomorrow morning because of the weather. The Millidgeville Ferry is off its run because of the high winds.
