The District Education Council in Anglophone South is proud of some of their accomplishments over the last four years.
The DEC met for the final time last week before the council elected May 9th takes over.
Fowler, who was re-elected, says they are very proud of passing the E5 policy on sexual orientation.
He says that policy recognizes and protects members of the LGBTQ community adding they were the first to pass that policy and they are proud of that.
Other highlights are the merger of school districts between Sussex and St. Stephen early on and tackling the growing issue of dealing with mental health in schools.
