$300, 000 was announced yesterday for the newly constructed community centre in Upper Aboujagane.
The centre is surrounded by a baseball field, a tennis court and other facilities.
It can also be used as a shelter in times of crisis, giving residents access to water, heat, washrooms and kitchen facilities.
