In other play, it was the Los Angeles Dodgers 8 Milwaukee 1…..Chicago White Sox 6 Minnesota 5…..NY Mets4 Chicago Cubs 3….Washington 13 Cioncinnati 4…..Atlanta 8 Miami 5…..Detroit 10 Tampa Bay 7…..Kansas City 4 St. Louis 2 and San Francisco 12 Oakland 6.

Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw will be on the shelf for a while because of a herniated disc in his lower back. Kershaw has a record of 11 and 2 with the E-R-A of 1.79 which is best in the National League.

In New Brunswick Senior League baseball, the Saint John Alpines over the Moncton Fisher Cats 4-1. The Alpines will play a doubleheader this afternoon against Charlottetown starting at 1:00 at Memorial Field.
