A new strategy for economic growth has emerged from Enterprise Saint John. The goal is to make Saint John the most connected city in Canada and not just in I-T.
David Thompson of Enterprise Saint John says the new barge terminal in Lorneville opens up the manufacturing and transportation of huge modules that are too big to be sent by rail or by trucks.
Thompson says Saint John has the highest broadband speeds in the country and another goal is to become a centre of excellence for Big Data to manage the exceesive volume of structured and unstructured information that has become available.
The third pillar for economic growth is to modernise the port.
