Saint John Police Has Extended Employment Offers To Five New Officers

The Saint John Police force will have five new officers starting later this month.

Deputy Chief Glen McCloskey says the new officers will start on July 25th.

McCloskey says some of the potential hires have been employed with other agencies and have a lot of experience, and some don’t.

Four men and one woman were offered positions with the department after the selection process.

McCloskey says the department gets coach officers to train the new hires during the first six months of training.

The Saint John Police will also have the help of three cadets from Holland College over the next ten weeks.
