A woman was stabbed multiple times and a man was hit with a blunt object in an incident at a home on Pine Avenue in west Saint John Tuesday evening.
A 22-year-old woman took off from the scene in a vehicle heading towards Fredericton and was stopped by the RCMP in the Welsford area. She was taken into custody and brought back to the Saint John jurisdiction.
The 21-year-old woman who was stabbed is in stable condition in hospital with serious injuries but they aren’t life threatening. The man’s injuries are mine. All three people know one another.
It’s expected the woman wlil face charges of attempted murder and assault with a weapon.
Major Crime and the Forensic Unit are investigating the incident.
