43% of Canadian travellers who don’t buy travel insurance are aged 18 to 34, that is to say, within the “millennial” age bracket.
That’s according to data released by Allianz Global Assistance.
The main three reasons why are because they felt it was unnecessary, too expensive, or their trip was too short to need travel insurance.
Allianz Senior Director Dan Keon says the likelihood of needing travel insurance isn’t determined solely by age, time or the destination of your trip.
He says everyone needs to be prepared to ensure they aren’t stuck with a surprise vacation bill.
