We now know a little more about the big change at Cherry Brook Zoo following the departure of long time operators, Len and Lynda Collrin. They were asked to leave late last week but no explanation was offered as to why.
The Board of Trustees through the law firm, Gilbert, McGloan, Gillis, has released a statement acknowledging the concerns of donors and the general public “that donations to the zoo be spent for the care and maintenance of the zoo’s animals.”
It says the Collrins were asked to end their involvement with the zoo pending an investigation by professionals. What sort of investigation and why it’s underway haven’t been explained.
The Board acknowledges the public has a right to know after the investigation is over what the issues were and what the outcome is.
