An Appeals Court in New York rejected requests by the National Football League Players Association and Patriots quarterback Tom Brady to reconsider an earlier decision to reinstate his four game suspension. The court determined NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell acted within his powers by suspending Brady for his part in doctoring footballs used in a January 2015 playoff game against Indianapolis. Brady could appeal the decision to the U.S. Supreme Court.
George McPhee, who spent 16 seasons as general manager of the Washington Capitals, has been named GM of the new NHL expansion franchise in Las Vegas.
