Wheelchair Bound Saint John Man Urges Drivers To Put Away Cell Phones

Ryan Daigle has been in a wheelchair for his entire life and he is urging drivers to pay more attention to the road.

Daigle lives in the uptown and says he notices far too many people pre-occupied with their phones as they drive.

He was recently backed into by a car near Dorchester and Union while he was trying to cross the street.

Daigle says the woman got out to see if he was okay and then took off after he asked her for her information.

He says another incident that happened to him was at Rockwood Park when he tipped over a broken down sidewalk and a few drivers drove right by him until finally, someone stopped after roughly 10 minutes.
