Two People Dead In Separate Head-On Collisions Near Shediac

Two people are dead following two separate head-on collisions near Shediac.

RCMP were called to the first scene on Shediac River Road where police believe an 18-year-old woman crossed the centre line and collided with an SUV driving in the opposite direction.

The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and passed away at the scene.

A man and woman who were in the SUV were taken to the hospital.

Last night, RCMP responded to another head-on collision on Route 15 in Shemogue, roughly 30 kilometres near Shediac.

Police believe a car traveling eastbound crossed the centre line and collided with another car driving in the opposite direction.

The driver of the eastbound car was taken to hospital in critical condition and a 44-year-old woman driving the westbound car died at the scene.

Another woman and a young boy in the westbound car were taken to the hospital.
