It’s been a long time since we’ve seen tall ships in the Habour so everyone is eager to see them return for the Saint John Festival of Sail.
The event will bring 11 tall ships to the area between Pugley Wharf and the Diamond Jubilee cruise ship terminal.

One of the event organizer’s, Liz Martin, tells us they need a few more volunteers.
She says they have 130 volunteers now and they would like to have 150.
We asked her what kinds of things the volunteers will be doing and she tells us they’ll be helping out with the children’s activities, a crew party on Friday night, the concert on Saturday and more.
She says they will also help keep the line-ups neat so that people can get on and off the ships for the tours as quickly as possible so people can enjoy everything that is happening on the waterfront.
The tall ships are expected to arrive on Friday August 18th around 9am and parade out around 6pm on Sunday August 20th.
In between on Saturday is Family Pirate Day on the festival grounds at the Marco Polo cruise ship terminal.
