If you are fascinated with tall ships, you’re in for a treat this weekend starting this morning. It’s the Saint John Festival of Sail.
11 tall ships will be parading into the harbour beginning at 10:00 this morning. There will be six “Class A” multiple-mast, square-rigged vessels as well as ships that measure over 40 metres or 131 feet in length.
9 of the ships will be offering onboard tours tomorrow and on Sunday but not today because of the arrival times and tides.
The pier will be open for dockside viewing and there will be live entertainment.
There will be free parking at the Peel Plaza parking garage as well as Harbour Station tomorrow and Sunday. Tomorrow and Sunday as well, Water Street will be closed to traffic from 8 in the morning until 6 at night.
