Dorothy Tucker’s Foster Daughter And Matthew Tucker Speak In Court

Matthew Tucker will be sentenced January 25th for second degree murder for the killing of his mother, Dorothy Tucker, in November 2014 outside St. Stephen.

At a sentencing hearing, the prosecution called for him to serve 18 years before coming up for parole.

Her foster daughter, Casey Jean Taylor read a victim impact statement, telling the court she has nightmares imagining her murder and couldn’t understand why anyone would kill her.

She lived with Dorothy Tucker for a few years and told the court she loved her as if she was her own mother.

Matthew Tucker, who shot his mother to death, says he doesn’t remember much of what happened, only that he was scared.

He told the court about being awake for 4 days, hallucinating and having flashbacks of childhood abuse. The defense is recommending Tucker serve 10 to 15 years.
