It was a quick stop but Saint John-Rothesay MP Wayne Long was able to press the PM on a few issues when he was in Saint John earlier this week.
Long says whenever he sees Prime Minister Justin Trudeau he always leads with Energy East.
He’s very confident in the process and he thinks the National Energy Board review process will start back up again in late February or early March.
We asked Long about Prime Minister Trudeau saying the oil sands will have to be phased out eventually and how that statement made some Energy East supporters nervous.
Long says the Prime Minister was talking long, long term and it has no impact on the process or Energy East and it’s approval.
